Oil and tempera on cardboard. Signed in lower right. Handwritten inscription “Max Ackermann, Lautensänger, Preis: 2000 Mr” on an old label on the reverse. Inscribed “ACK5858” by a hand other than the artist's on the reverse. 72 x 45 cm.

- Ackermann was a student of Adolf Hölzel since 1915. - His encounter with Hölzel in 1912 would have a formative influence on his artistic work - he inspired Ackermann to non-objective painting. - For the first time offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).

In good condition. Image edges irregularly trimmed and with minor bumping, some with minor loss of color. Small loss in the upper edge of the image, expertly filled and minimally retouched.
