Moderate wear to panel edges. Total loss observed to panel lower left corner. Fine moderate craquelure observed throughout. Various surface scratches observed throughout, primarily throughout background of left side of composition (longest scratch is approximately 2 1/4" long).
Under UV examination, heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly and appears to have been removed in the face, undershirt, fur trim, and hands. Pinpoint retouching observed throughout background and along edges retouching. Fine dots and dashes of retouching observed to aforementioned scratches.
