Ceramics . White sherd, color engobe painting, engraved with a knife, partly glazed. Stand with the embossing stamps "Madoura plein feu" and "Edition Picasso" and with the hand-written number and the inscription "Edition Picasso Madoura". From an edition of 200 copies. 32 x 19 x 29 cm.

- Large, particularly unusually shaped jug from Picasso's diverse ceramic oeuvre. - He transferred the ancient technique of pottery into the 20th century through modern forms and figurative painting. - His ceramics testify to Picasso's boundless inventiveness and his vast artistic repertoire time and again.
