Drypoint. Signed and numbered. From an edition of 50 copies. On Japan paper. 30.5 x 25.6 cm. Sheet: 56,5 x 45 cm.
Published by R. Piper & Co, Munich, probably in 1922. The numbering of the edition of 15 within the total edition of 50 was assigned by Günther Franke. [AW].
- Outstanding self-exploration with a thoughtful, stern gaze. - Max Beckmann's ability to analyze himself artistically is unmatched. - Other copies from this edition can be found in the collections of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main.
