• The artist’s most significant prints were created during his intense creative years between 1918 and 1920, and his first woodcuts in 1918.
• Feininger taught himself the technique of woodcut and is today considered one of the masters of this medium.
• In the year of its creation, Feininger met Walter Gropius; a year later, he was appointed to teach at the Weimar Bauhaus.

In good condition, as if freshly printed. Numerous creases along the edges. Small brown spots throughout. The two upper corners and the center of the page have been professionally reinforced with paper patches. The lower corners and a few small tears along the right edge have been professionally restored. Scattered tiny tears along the edges of the sheet.
