As stated by the collector: "The Octopus torch drawing was from the Helen Altman’s first exhibition featuring a body of work with this media at the Barry Whistler Gallery. We were amazed with the technical aspects of burning paper to create images, and we had already known Helen, having previously acquired a few of her "fire log" artworks. We have collected Helen’s art in depth, and her ability to work with different media in such a creative way, has had a huge influence on our interest in living with artwork."
