Unknown Daguerreotypist (mid-19th Century) A 1/6-plate Daguerreotype of a Saltbox House, 1850s Contained in leather case. This appears to be a later copy of an 1845 daguerreotype. A clipped newspaper fragment states "Hon. A. D. Wait has a picture of the old Waite House, which stood in the rear of his present residence; built in 1685 and taken down in 1845".
