Lithograph. Signed and inscribed "Handdruck 1. Abzug". One of to date 6 known copies. On snmooth wove paper. 33 x 38.5 cm. Sheet: 40,1 x 46,3 cm.
- First and early print from only six known copies. - Only one copy has ever been offered on the international auction market, almost 30 years ago (source: artprice.com). - Kirchner also immortalized the bosquet on Albertplatz in Dresden in a painting of the same name from the same year. - Charming, atmospheric street scene from the best “Brücke” period. - Street scenes are among the most important subjects in Ernst Ludwig Kirchner's oeuvre. - Other copies from this edition are at, among others, the Museum Folkwang, Essen, and the Kunsthalle Hamburg.
