In Terrakotta gearbeitete Figurengruppe polychrom gefasst. Über eckiger Basis die im sanften S-Schwung stehende Madonna in reich gefaltetem Gewand, auf ihrem linken Arm das Christuskind tragend und mit sanftem Blick würdigend. Gut mit unserer Madonna vergleichbar ist eine weitere im Umkreis von Donatello entstandene Madonna mit dem Kinde im Museo di San Marco, Florenz aus der ersten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts, sowie eine Maria mit dem Kinde aus der Washington National Gallery of Art (Inv.Nr. 1937.1.112) die auf ca. 1425 datiert wird. (1440361) (13)

A figural group in terracotta with polychromy.
Another Madonna and Child, from the circle of Donatello held at the Museo di San Marco, Florence, dating from the first half of the 15th century, compares well with the present Madonna, as does a Madonna and Child held at the Washington National Gallery of Art (inv. no. 1937.1.112), dated to c. 1425.
